Dr. Jay Siegel is an internationally recognized forensic science practitioner, educator and researcher.  His major work activities and honors are:
·     Forensic chemist with the Virginia Bureau of Forensic Sciences
·    Consultant in forensic chemistry criminal and civil casework for 35 years
·    Expert witness over 200 times in courts of 7 states as well as federal and military courts
·    Forensic science educator and researcher for more than 35 years.
·    Member of National Academy of Sciences Committee on Strengthening Forensic Science
·    Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences
·    Distinguished Alumni Scholar, The George Washington University
·    Charter member of the Forensic Science Education Program Accreditation Commission (FEPAC)
·    Co-author of two textbooks in forensic science
·    Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopedia of Forensic Sciences
·    Co-Editor-in-Chief of Forensic Science Policy and Management: An International Journal
